Privacy Policy

Effective date: [To be filled at deployment]

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how the Saju service ("Service") handles user information. The Service complies with the Korean Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and other applicable regulations. This policy does not constitute legal advice; for specific legal matters, please consult a qualified legal professional.

2. Information Collected and How It Is Processed

The Service uses date of birth, time of birth, and gender entered by users for Saju analysis. Users may optionally enter a name, which is used solely for personalized display on the result page and is processed entirely within the browser — it is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. All computation is performed entirely in the user's browser (client-side); this input is never transmitted to our servers and is not stored in any form — no database, cache, or log. Collection and retention of the birth input are structurally impossible. The input exists only within the browser (in the URL hash fragment or page memory). Note that HTML, scripts, and fonts are still served from our server/CDN, and advertising (see §4) and analytics (see §5) involve separate network requests — this is not a "no network activity" claim; specifically, the birth date/time and gender input itself is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. The Service does not operate any account registration, login, or membership system.

3. Cookies and Automatically Collected Information

The Service may use cookies and similar technologies for usage analytics and service improvement. This may include collecting non-identifying statistical data such as visit frequency, page views, and referral sources. Users may refuse or delete cookies through their browser settings; doing so will not restrict access to the Service.

4. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdSense)

The Service may display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to show interest-based ads. Users can disable personalized ads through Google Ad Settings (https://adssettings.google.com) or opt out of third-party cookies via the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page (https://optout.networkadvertising.org). For details on how Google handles personal information, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

5. Web Analytics

The Service may use web analytics tools such as Google Analytics to understand usage patterns. These tools collect non-identifying usage data via cookies and do not directly identify individual users. Collected data is used solely for service improvement and statistical analysis.

6. Retention and Disposal of Personal Information

Birth date/time and gender input is never transmitted to or stored on our servers; therefore, no server-side retention period or disposal procedure exists — there is no retained data to dispose of. Input remaining in the browser is cleared when the page is closed or refreshed and is not persisted to localStorage or any other storage. Cookies and automatically collected information can be managed directly by users through their browser settings.

7. User Rights

Users may delete browser cookies at any time to remove automatically collected information. Because the Service does not maintain accounts or store personal information on its servers, there is no server-side personal data subject to access, correction, or deletion requests. For inquiries regarding information handling, please use the contact information below.

This Privacy Policy may be updated in accordance with changes in applicable laws or service policies. Any changes will be announced through the Service.
